Bara Imambara, also called as Asfi Imambara, is a congregation shrine hall built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in Lucknow, India for Azadari (Muharram processions and rituals). "Bara" is an urdu word that means BIG, and "imamabara" means shrine.
The complex includes the hall, Asfi mosque, a labyrinth, and a baoli (a step well with running water).
To visit the hall, you have to pass through two gateways.
