Konkan Greens

Konkan is a section of western coastline of India, falling between the Sahyadri mountain range (also called Western Ghats) and Arabian sea.

I was in Konkan region of Maharashtra in May 2012, and clicked some pics during my travel to Chiplun, Manmad, and Guhagar. All pics were clicked from a moving train and car with Canon Powershot S2 IS.

Sunrise @ Guhagar-Chiplun Highway

Guhagar and Chiplun are two small towns in Maharastra. I was in Guahgar in May 2012 to visit the temple of Lord Vyadeshwar, my family deity. The distance between both towns is approx 45 kms and is an hour's drive. The road is smooth and wide, and the drive was nice.

I clicked the following pictures of the sunrise on my return trip from Guhagar to Chiplun. The camera was Canon Powershot S2 IS.

An evening @ Guhagar Beach, Maharashtra

Guhagar is a small town in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. I was in Guhagar in May 2012 to visit my family deity, Lord Vyadaeshwar.

Here are some sunset pics that I clicked at Guhagar beach, Maharashtra.

Summit Peak, Mahrashtra

Summit Peak is a place (small town) near Manmad, Maharastra. It is famous for its peak, also known as Thumb's Up peak. The peak is visible if you are travelling to Manmad via railway train, or by road to Shirdi.
